Summer in April

Starting this past Saturday, the warm weather arrived in Oregon after a very long vacation. Yesterday was the warmest at 77 degrees at our house. We have been enjoying being outside as much as possible because we knew the spring rains would return. This morning it has already started sprinkling and is supposed to rain on and off for the next several days. I really don't mind the rain though now that we had a wonderful break of sunshine. Meadow had a blast enjoying anything and everything outdoors. We played on our slides, with the water table, sidewalk chalk, took walks, and ran as much as possible. She has also really enjoyed playing with the neighbor boys. They love to get all their play cars, and tricycles and wheel around in our driveway. This past weekend gave me a sneak peek at how much fun we are going to have with Meadow this summer. I loved being able to bring snacks out and set chairs out so i could relax and the kids could take a snack and drink break when they needed it. Meadow has slept and ate really well the past few days. You may also note, that she is really started to look like a little girl. I can't believe she will be two in less than two months.

Here are some fun pics from the past couple of days.

Tanner had fun in the swing.
I love that Tanner is smiling in this picture. He is definitely warming up to me a little bit. He is that stage where mommy cannot go out of his sight. What a cutie!

Tanner wanting to eat the chalk instead of draw with it. We thought it might be worth a try.

Meadow woke up with crazy hair this morning. Some days she lets me put pig tails in, but not this day.

Tanner was doing so great with this walker/ride on toy. He is definitely gearing up to start walking all on his own.
Meadow loves to wear her sunglasses

She also knows how to open the screen door, so we are going to have to keep the glass door locked if we want to keep her inside. She wants to be outside litterally all day long. This can be a challenge when I need to make lunch or dinner and Todd is at work. I don't blame her at all though. I feel the same way.
